Coming up on The DNA Radio Show

Feb. 6:

J.Francis and Pippi.

The DNA Radio Show leaves KCAA after this live broadcast . It will return sometime in April in its new incarnation as "Daniels and his Audience."  For today, it will still be Daniels and Andrews – minus Vince Daniels and Paul Andrews.  As he departs on his final health hiatus, Vinnie wanted J. Francis and the Sexy Pippi (pictured at left) to have another turn at the terrestrial microphone.

As the Commander noted on the January 30th show, "the best thing for all of you to do next Friday night, February 5th is just go out and party hard, and then whatever condition you're in at 10 o'clock the next morning, just tune in to J, and Pippi. Their show is THE best cure for that next day hangover."

As hosts of the web-based "J.Francis Radio," J.Francis and Pippi owe any success they've acheived to their large, loyal worldwide listenership of regulars that have become like family to them.

Their show is a mixed bag of current events, politics, love and relationship talk and entertainment news in an "E" Entertainment Network sort of way.  They've been on the red carpet, attended the hollywood party's and have hob-nobbed with the likes of Joan Rivers.  "We've had scones with Joan on a number of occassions," says Francis.

For only the second time (of what will be many times), they'll break bread with the listeners of 1050 AM in addition to KCAA's internet radio (and television) audience.  "On KCAA, we won't be able to get away with what we normally do on our show.  Pippi and I aren't really sure what the callers will provoke us to get away with, but like the last time we were here in October, I'm sure we'll find out."

Among their topics will be Super Bowl Sunday which happens this weekend. "I want to talk about the Commercials and how stupid they are. In particular, we want to talk about the Gay commercial that was banned this year!"

Can we possibly expect a return visit from such "J.Francis Radio" regular characters as "Dishler" or "Tinsley from Garden Grove?"  Tune-in and find out.  Your calls are also welcome, toll-free at 1(888) 909-1050.   KCAA's Joe Shaff will have live, local news at the top of both the 10 and 11am hours (PST).

THE JAY BOATMAN SHOW
Takes over DNA's time slot starting Feb. 13th

Jay Boatman

The DNA Radio Show could have continued until Vince Daniels' return to KCAA in April. "Last August when I went away on my first medical leave, it was as though I was never really gone," remembered Vince.  "At the time, my show was guest hosted from week to week.  I still had the responsibility of making sure that bodies were sitting in my chair every Saturday, plus in order to promote the show, I still had to maintain my website, which is a lot of work."

This time, he doesn't have to stress.  All Vinnie has to do is work on getting healthy. After-all, KCAA has stepped up to the plate.  CEO, Fred Lundgren called Daniels a few months ago to say, "I think that Boatman fellow absolutely has the most wonderful voice and presentation going in talk radio. I'd like to have him more on my station."

Premiering February 13th from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon (PST), Fred and KCAA listeners will be able to hear 2 hours of Jay every Saturday for about 8-10 weeks, depending on how long Vince needs to be away.  With his self-titled Jay Boatman Show, Boatman describes what he'll be doing as a cross between Oprah, Dr. Phil and Larry King Live, with some of your local news inbetween.

While Jay will assume all hosting and production responsibilities, he will call on friend and colleague, Crista Curtis to join him on occasion.

Says Vince Daniels, "This is not only a great opportunity for Jay, but for me too. I can walk away knowing that my time slot is in good hands. Even though he's not doing DNA, the listeners still associate him with DNA and what better person to keep people thinking of the show in its absence, than Jay."

Make no mistake.  It will be Jay's show.  It will be his picture on the KCAA 1050 AM website banner, not to mention the KCAA Saturday schedule page, where he will also have his own individual page of podcasts on their server. Speaking of websites, podcasting of The Jay Boatman Show will not appear on DNA's website. For those, you'll have to access the KCAARadio dot com site.

While Boatman does not have his own website to speak of, like many he does have his own Facebook account.  You can add him as a friend by going here The classic Hues Corporation song "Rock The Boat" will serve as Jay's theme.

New VODCAST Available

The November 7th show:
Getting to know your Candidates

While Audio Podcasts of every DNA Radio Show are available on this website, not every show is available as a Video Podcast (or Vodcast).  Vince offers the first 3 inaugural shows, plus the special two-part Abortion series. There are reasons why certain DNA's are vodcasted.

For instance, the show from Nov. 7, which featured California gubernatorial candidate, Chelene Nightingale.  She was the lead off in-studio guest in a special series of shows hosted by Jay Boatman and Crista Curtis called "Getting to know your Candidates." The DNARadioShow website has uploaded this show as a vodcast so that you might be able to get a good look at this candidate as Chelene endures 90 minutes on Jay's hot seat.
